Theatre Viirus is located at a 2.2 km walking distance from the Helsinki Railway Station.

By public transport

The easiest way to reach Viirus from the city centre is by tram number 9, which stops in front of the theatre at Välimerenkatu/Medelhavsgatan.

Tram number 8 stops at Saukonpaasi/Utterhällen, 300 meters walk from the theater.

Tram number 7 stops at Huutokonttori/Uppropskontoret next to Hotel Clarion, 450 meters walk from the theater. 

The nearest metro station is Ruoholahti/Gräsviken, which is located 600 meters from the theater.

By bike

There are several city bike stations in Jätkäsaari. The closest one to Viirus is called Välimerenkatu. You can find all city bike stations in HSL website: https://reittiopas.hsl.fi/lahellasi/CITYBIKE/POS

Parking

Pick-up and drop-off traffic traffic can stop briefly on Välimerenkatu in front of the theater.

There are plenty of street parking spaces on the streets next to Viirus. In Jätkäsaari, street parking is chargeable on weekdays from 9 am to 9 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm. You can pay for parking with an app, for example EasyPark or Parkman.

The closest parking garage is Rokkiparkki, where you enter from Välimerenkatu 12. Parking is paid with the Easypark application. Rokkipark’s exit A is closest to Viirus, at Välimerenkatu 15.
