Svett is a performance that emerges from motifs of pressure and release
In Svett (sweat) by Hanna Ahti, Iida Kuningas, Aksinja Lommi, Piia Rinne, Tatu Nenonen, Jani-Matti Salo, and Heidi Soidinsalo dance, theatre, light, and sound come together. It is a performance that focuses on the uninhibited body and a stage that reeks of existential sweat.
The performance is based on the interplay of friction and flow – it is a crash in which things wax and wane again and again. It lingers in the now and with the ghosts that inhabit the bodies of the performers and the performance space. Svett is about celebrating and getting stuck, about surfing the waves of time.
